The Company has been bought out and are no longer *your* agent.
I recently had an incident and called for clarification and direction on my homeowner's policy. The person who answered the phone told me that they've been instructed not to act on my behalf, but rather that I need to contact the insurance company directly myself for any questions.
I stated I wanted a simple answer to a question about my policy, and they refused to answer it, again directing me to the insurance company.
Traditionally, I've found dealing with an agent to be a pleasant experience. I've chosen to go with local agents for the very reason that these people are to be my advocates and will assist me when I have questions.
Clearly this is not the policy of Anthony & Malcolm anymore.
That policy just lost them another customer, and I'm certain I'm not the last.
Why deal with an agency if they refuse to assist you in any way? I'd be better off going with a direct-to-consumer insurance agency and saving myself the money.
